# Central Limit Theorem

The central limit theorem states that the mean of a sample of $$n$$ observations of a random variable having a distribution with well defined (i.e. finite) mean, $$\mu$$, and standard deviation, $$\sigma$$, tends to the normal distribution $$N\left(\mu, \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}\right)$$ as $$n$$ tends to infinity.
